RBI/2026-27/249 DOR.MRG.REC.No.217/00-00-011/2026-27 September 2, 2026 Reserve Bank of India (Urban Co-operative Banks – Classification, Valuation, and Operation of Investment Portfolio) Second Amendment Directions, 2026 Please refer to Chapter VIII of Reserve Bank of India (Urban Co-operative Banks - Classification, Valuation, and Operation of Investment Portfolio) Directions, 2025 dated November 28, 2025 , on Investment in non-SLR securities. In view of the establishment of Indian Digital Payment Intelligence Corporation (IDPIC) as the nation's central digital payment fraud intelligence platform and to enable UCBs to acquire its membership, there is a need to amend the extant instructions. 2. Accordingly, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 35A of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 (hereinafter called the Act), read with Section 56 thereof, and all other laws enabling the Reserve Bank in this regard, the Reserve Bank, being satisfied that it is necessary and expedient in the public interest so to do, hereby, issues the Amendment Directions hereinafter specified. 3. RBI/2026-27/239 DOR.RET.REC.206/12.01.001/2026-27 August 25, 2026 Reserve Bank of India (Small Finance Banks – Cash Reserve Ratio and Statutory Liquidity Ratio) Fourth Amendment Directions, 2026 Please refer to the Reserve Bank of India (Small Finance Banks – Cash Reserve Ratio and Statutory Liquidity Ratio) Directions, 2025 (updated as on June 19, 2026) wherein exemption from CRR and SLR maintenance have been provided to fresh FCNR(B) deposits of minimum tenor of three years and maximum tenor of five years and fresh Non-Resident (External) Rupee (NRE) term deposits of tenor of three years or more mobilized (including deposits that are renewed upon maturity) by the banks between June 8, 2026 to September 30, 2026 and June 19, 2026 to September 30, 2026 respectively. On review, it has been decided to amend the date “September 30, 2026” to the date “August 31, 2026” for the aforesaid exemptions. 2. RBI/2026-27/243 DOR.SOG(SPE).REC.211/13.03.00/2026-27 August 25, 2026 Reserve Bank of India (Commercial Banks – Interest Rate on Deposits) Third Amendment Directions, 2026 Please refer to the Reserve Bank of India (Commercial Banks – Interest Rate on Deposits) Directions, 2025 (hereinafter referred to as ‘Directions’), dated November 28, 2025 (Updated as on June 17, 2026), wherein temporary withdrawal of the interest rate ceiling on fresh FCNR(B) deposits of 3-5 year tenors and restriction on interest rates on NRE deposits of 3 year and above tenors, including the deposits that are renewed upon maturity, have been provided with effect from June 17, 2026, for the period until September 30, 2026. On a review, it has been decided to amend the date ‘September 30, 2026’ to the date ‘August 31, 2026’ for the aforementioned temporary relaxation. 2.
